Intro to Graphic Design Final Project 2021
"Want a Kiss?"
(Material Change, Swap, or Focus)

This is the first image in my series of 'Stages of Love'. I wanted to start off with this idea of the flirtatious and silliness that we feel when we first start falling in love.
"Put Your Heart on the Line"
(Isolation)
This image is supposed to represent the next stage of love, when you are your most vulnerable. This is a representation of putting it all on the line.
"Opening a Can of Worms"
(Juxtaposition)
You get to a point where you must 'open a can of worms' and share every part of yourself with your significant other. Sometimes it brings up contention, hard emotions and insecurities. Despite all of that, when we really love someone, we want to share every little piece of ourselves with them.
"A Hard Pill to Swallow"
(Change of Context or Environment)

By enlarging the pill, I wanted to portray 'hard pill to swallow'. This represents when you say your final goodbyes with your significant other. It's always a hard pill to swallow.
"Mending a Broken Heart"
(Metaphor or Simile)

Sometimes after heart break, it feels like you have to try anything and everything you possibly can in order to repair your heart. This is a representation of what it feels like to mod podge your heart back together.
"A Piece of My Heart"
(Combinations)

This is the final image in my project, titled: 'A Piece of my Heart'. It is the representation of what it feels like after a relationship ends. That person will always have a piece of your heart.
